I remain at your disposal for supplementary analysis if you can procure me samples that are more abundant.
I cannot of course guarantee any of these figures, given the small weight of the material entering into the analysis which contained no metallic particle. It is probable that for sample no. 1 you have only collected the clay scintillating slightly, the oxide of the metal of the object.
The material handed over contained no trace of metal. It had the appearance of a carbonated copper oxide. From the analysis of this oxide one can roughly deduce the analysis following for the composition of the metal:
| Tin | 1,72 |
| Lead | 1,48 |
| Copper | 93,50 |
| Iron | 3,30 |
| Zinc | 0 |
| Nickel | 0 |
| Sulphur | traces |
Sample no. 3.- Vounota (Cyprus) - Flat axe of tomb 64 no. 164 - Enveloping material: 0 gr,600.
| Stitice | 1,80 |
| Tin oxide | 1,00 |
| Lead oxide | 1,00 |
| Copper oxide | 58,60 |
| Iron oxide | 2,00 |
| Lime oxide | 0 |
| Magnesia oxide | 0 |
| Nickel oxide | 0 |
| Sulphuric anhydride: traces | |
| Loss on ignition | 35,65 |

It is possible that part of the iron comes from the clay.
The material handed over contained no metal at all. It had the appearance of a copper oxide with a little clay We think that the composition of the metal should be roughly:
| Tin | 3,90 |
| Lead | 1,50 |
| Copper | 77,90 |
| Iron | 17,40 |
