My Dear Friend,

I have received your latest samples and am doing what is necessary, but there is really little material to give you anything very precise.

Please find enclosed, in two tables, the analyses of the bronzes and coppers you sent me several months ago. I apologise for not having given you these results as quickly as I would have wished, but I have been very occupied following my trip to America.

You would be very kind, on my next trip to Paris, to come and have lunch with me. I will let you know by telephone.

Asking you to present my most respectful homage to Madame SCHAEFFER, please believe, my Dear Friend, in my very warm sympathy.
