I thank you for your kind letter and for the precious offprint of your article on "Enkomi„, which has greatly interested me. I hope that your research future work in the ruins of this ancient city that you succeeded in discovering after other, less perceptive excavators, bring you numerous and brilliant results.
Please find enclosed the answers to the five questions that you kindly asked me. I have had the opportunity to take an interest in the name of the island of Cyprus in a short article entitled Debir which I am pleased to send you and in another, Le vocabulaire de Nuzi SMN 2559 in fascicle no. 1 of the Revue d'assyriologie which has just appeared and which reached here two or three days ago.
