We have subjected the amber bead fragments handed over to us to a detailed examination and found that they contain both succinic acid and sulphur in the amount usual for Baltic amber. There is therefore a high probability that the find pieces are Baltic amber. Certain identification is not possible, however, because the succinic acid and sulphur content of amber varieties is fluctuating.

The remains of the samples are returned to you.
