We have subjected the amber bead fragments handed over to us to a thorough examination and have found that they contain both succinic acid and sulphur in the amount usual for Baltic amber. There is therefore a high probability that the find pieces are Baltic amber. It cannot be determined with absolute certainty, however, because the succinic acid and sulphur content of amber varieties varies.

The remains of the samples are being returned to you.

Yours respectfully!
