Enkomi-Alasia, Thursday 7 october 1954.

Dear Mr. Megaw,

The tracing of the W. & NW wall is going on nicely and Forrer & my son are now engaged also in preparation for the general plan with the help of the new tachymeter brought over by my wife last Wednesday. We are going to finish the main dig on Saturday & the topographical work on Thursday, 14th. Forrer will bring back the borrowed instrument on Friday morning, also the tent & tools before he & J. Marsh are leaving on s/s Achilleus from Limassol with the jeeps that Friday (15th).

My wife & I have to fly back to Beyrouth & Damascus on Thursday 14th, at 7.45 p.m. Would you be so kind & let me know if your offices & the Museum are open Friday afternoon so that we may see you before departure. If you should have business in this region and would spend an another visit & have a meal with us, perhaps together with Mrs Megaw, my wife & I & we all would enjoy it.

Yours sincerely

C. Schaeffer
