Mr K. Nicolaou and Mrs Cyprus Museum NICOSIA Island of Cyprus

Dear Mr Nicolaou and Mrs,

I hope that you have returned in good health and satisfied with your journey to France and England and that you have found your family and your Mrs as you had left them.

I enclose my request for an extension of the period of exportation of the antiquities taken temporarily for study and restoration. I will bring back all of them, or at least the greater part, when I return to Cyprus, I hope, next autumn, or I will entrust them to one of my collaborators.

May I ask you for some information? A certain number of bronzes from the 1965 campaign (17th) whose inventory numbers are as follows: 17.05, 06, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 (with indication of weight in gr.), 23, 26, 27, 28, 36, 37, 39 (with indication of weight in gr.). 40, have been entrusted to the laboratory of your Museum before photographs were taken. Would it be possible for you to have these objects photographed at the Museum, format about 13 X 18 cm on glossy, contrasted paper, for publication in the volume ALASIA II, currently in preparation. I would be grateful to you.

Please accept, dear Mr Nicolaou and Mrs, with the best regards from my wife,

C.F.A. SCHAEFFER
