24th November, 1949

Handwritten: Dear Schaeffer,

next year, if we can come to terms. I am a little suspicious of the one of Egyptian style as it lacks the patina and wear of the others. But if it is alright we must have it, as I understand we have no genuine example of this style.

[handwritten: I hope everything is alright about your going to Rakhomra, and that you will have a satisfactory time there.]

[handwritten: With best wishes from us both to you and to your wife and daughter.]

Handwritten: Yours sincerely
