Dear Schaeffer,

Thank you for your letter of Saturday. I enclose a statement showing the balance of your deposit account.

The total cost of the three plots we now propose to buy - Nos.265,331 and 332 - should not be more than £587, which was the cost of the two adjoining plots 330 and 333, as the areas of these two groups of plots is approximately the same.

Regarding accommodation in Nicosia Miss Goell recommends the Pension Européan, which is near the Museum and at 12/- a day including food remarkably cheap.

I have ordered photographs of the two large vases from your Tomb 2.

Handwritten: I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. Thanks for the "agenda". In connection with Dikaios 1950 diggings could you bring a plan showing the position of all the trenches - if possible.

Handwritten: yours sincerely
