Enkomi

Le Castel Blanc, 14 Rue Turgot, St.Germain-en-Laye, (Seine et Oise)

2 June 1950

Mr J. Lapierre, Consul of France, Larnaka, Cyprus.

Dear Sir,

I am returning from America and am preparing the works of this year in Cyprus as well as in Syria and Turkey. On this subject, I would be grateful if you would let me know whether the credit intended for this year's works, amounting to 2.100 L.Ch., has been received by you to be transferred to my bank account at the Barclay's in Famagusta.

If you have not yet received this sum, which in any case has left Paris, the transfer may have stalled in Malta. Could you take the initiative to have it sent on to Larnaka and inform me of this, as I must pay my contribution towards the costs of purchasing land at Enkomi as soon as possible.

I take this opportunity to send you and Mrs Lapierre my very best regards, and the expression of my pleasure at the idea of seeing you again this year. Please believe, dear Sir, in my distinguished and best sentiments.
