Dear Mr. Megaw,
I just got a telephone call informing me of the arrival at the British Embassy of the Enkomi bowl.
I shall collect it here and arrange for the exhibition at the Louvre with the restoration: on temporary loan by courtesy of the Antiquities Dep. Cyprus [handwritten: 4] (in french).
On the other hand, here is a letter from Pennman. Re Ras Shamra & Enkomi being bronze age sites, there is only very few iron or nothing at all. But, perhaps among the early iron age collections in your Museum there may be pieces to be sent to P. He is a very good & effecient worker & any material sent to him will be used & published.
My plans for this years seasons are ready. I have to begin early at Ras Shamra and come over to Nicosia - Enkomi second half of october. There will be a new member to the expedition: M. Courtois, archaeological assistant and another architect to replace M. Pirounis who is ill.
I am looking foward to return to the island (with M. Dreiffer) and to work at E. again. - With best wishes & kind regards to Mrs. Megaw.
Yours sincerely
