Faint show-through from reverse side, mirrored and largely illegible:
Dear Mr. Megaw,
Can last year I have asked Dikaios to be able to see the finds made by the departments excavations at Enkomi, he was newsred that I he was not informed of my wish that he has been sure y in Paris, that the material is packed or in the laboratory. In the end I have seen nothing of your material except a few pieces of the first season. So I am in the dark about the finds made so near mine in the same site wha t of source is not favourable for my own research.
As ll my material and inventories are in your hands at the end of each season, I hope you will reciprocate and allow me to see the finds with inventories of your departments excavations when I come to Nicosia in November. I shall also be called to report to my body in Paris in the February session about the mail of which, after dilvation, shall revert to the French Mission.
As you told me of Dikaios' departure in September, I therefore send a cable in order that the material I may be ready to be seen in November. The text of the cablemessage was: The mkt for letter 25th. Please arrange that November I can see all Enkomi finds made during departments excavations 1948 to 1952 and inventories. letter follows.
