Dear Mr.Megaw,
When last year I have asked Dikaios to be able to see the finds made by the Departments excavations at Enkomi, he a nswered tha t he was not informed of my wish, that he has been awa y in Turquie, that the material is packed or in the laboratory. In the end I have seen nothing of your material except a few pieces of the first season. So I am in the dark about the finds made so near mine in the same site what t of course is not favorable for my own research.
As a ll my material and inventories are in your hands at the end of each season, I hope you will reciprocate and allow me to see the finds with inventories of your Departments excavations when I come to Nicosia in november next. I shall also be called to report to my body in Paris in the February session about the finds made by my partner expedition half of which, after division, shall revert to the French Mission.
As you told me of Dikaios' departure in September, I therefore send a cable in order that the material may be ready to be seen in November. The text of the cablemessage was:Thanks for letter 25th.Please arrange that november I can see all Enkomi finds made during Departments excavations 1948 to 1952 and inventories, letter follows.Sch.
