Dear Megaw, thank you for your letter of April 28th. I am glad to know that you have recovered & hope you are quite fine again. Please give my kind regards to your wife with wishes and my hope to you both.
Enkomi I. Please send Ikaros' contribution now to H. Forrer when I will find it on my return end of the month. I think we can arrange: in case the cost exceed what you can contribute at 1950 budget, we can then pay six francs the excess & you pay the rest in 1951. It is possible that the vol. does not come out before 1951 in any case. I think too much illustration is better than too few. But I will tell you what I think when I have seen the material. Perhaps it is possible to reduce number by arranging plates more rationally. But I'll wish you then new text & plates.
Next season. Good that Dr. [illegible] intends digging June & July. I hope he finishes his beautiful buildings & the tombs that [illegible] are beneath & takes his [illegible] away.
French Funds. Thanks for help & connection of Materials at Khan.
Bronze Bowl 1949. I shall hand to Embury at my return.
Restoration plates. My funds will be soon available.
Yours sincerely, C.F.A. Schaeffer [handwritten: signature]
