On the other hand in order to avoid duplicating it would be useful if your contribution is not yet ready, that you send me a copy of the part finished and especially of what you say about the statue. Among the last year's finds of Enkomi I have now sufficient material which allows a better appreciation of the civilisations of the ending 13th and the 12th centuries to which the statue belongs. I would like to refer as often as possible to your analysis of this work of art in my own contribution and am therefore anxious to know what you say about it. Please let me know if possible by return, when your study is ready and send me whatever is finished. I can already give it to the printer and it would speed up the preparation of the proofs. I therefore would be grateful to you to accelerate the contribution you have promised for this volume.

I hope that you are all well and that the cold weather of which Forrer tells me is now over and that you enjoy the usual pleasant climate of your happy island. Please remember me to Mrs. Dikaios.

publication of which according to our agreement should constitute a major part of your contribution. The study in question may be included in one of the other parts of the study referred to, but I would like to be assured that the statue is not forgotten amon the material published by you in the first volume.

Yours sincerely,
