Mon cher Ami,
Excusez-moi de vous écrire en mauvais anglais au lieu du français mais je profite de ma correspondence pour brush up what I need again this year.
The preparation of the volume Enkomi I is now an urgent matter in order not to miss the opportunity for its early printing offered now after the completion of other works and before the printer is again booked for the autumn boom and opening of the next university year. I therefore would be grateful to you to accelerate to the utmost the contribution you have promised for this volume.
Looking through the chapter headings in Megaw's letter of the 17th december, I see no reference to the great bronze statue, the publication of which according to our agreement should constitute a major part of your contribution. The study in question may be included in one of the other parts of the study referred to but I would like to be assured that the statue is not forgotten amon the material published by you in the first volume.
