By telegram dated 26 March, the Direction Générale des Relations Culturelles opened a credit of 2.750 Pounds for you, intended for archaeological excavations and research on the island of Cyprus directed by Commandant C.F.A. Schaeffer, Directeur de Recherches at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Conservateur des Musées de France.
I have the honour to ask you to kindly make the necessary arrangements so that this sum is paid to Commandant Schaeffer on his arrival in Cyprus in August next, through the Consul of France at Larnaca.
I would also be grateful if you would confirm to Commandant Schaeffer, through our Embassy at Ankara, that the funds in question are held at his disposal at the Consulate of France at Larnaca from August next.
