By telegram dated 26 March, the Direction Générale des Relations Culturelles, has opened for you a credit of 2.750 Livres intended for excavations and archaeological research on the island of Cyprus directed by Commandant C.F.A. Schaeffer, Directeur de Recherches au Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Conservateur des Musées de France.
I have the honour to ask you to kindly take the necessary measures so that this sum is paid to the Commandant Schaeffer on his arrival in Cyprus in August next, through the Consul of France at Larnaca.
I would also be grateful if you would confirm to the Commandant Schaeffer, through our Embassy at Ankara, that the funds in question are held at his disposal at the Consulate of France at Larnaca from August next.
