Dear Mr. Megaw,
Your letter of Nov. 29th reached me a few days after I had written you on december 4th. I thank you also for your letter since received, of Dec. 17th. I am writing in answer to both.
I think that risk of damage will be reduced when the land is bought. So I feel it is good in any case not to postpone action. I entirely approve your proposals of Dec. 17th concerning purchase of ground.
Handwritten: handwritten initials, illegible
As soon as you are sure to get the funds from your government, let me know. I shall then order my bank in Famagousta to put at the disposal of your department £ 300/0/0. Together with your share, that would allow to acquire at once the following most needed plots: 352, 353, 331, 330, 265, which would amount to about L 602/0/0.
Could you, in view of the purchase ask the department concerned to have the land correctly mapped and put fixed marks on the ground to indicate the limits of the fields. We need them urgently to be able to orientate correctly our plans and will need them in future even more.
P.T.O.
