Dear M. Mogabgab,
I hoped to say you good bye after the lecture in Nicosia, but you disappeared mysteriously and nobody has seen you going away. So I like to say you 'merci' for your kind help in Famagusta during our labour troubles and the very kind reception you gave us there as representative of the Antiquities department.
I had forgotten to send you back the enclosed paper about the Companion laws for which I thank you also. I very much hope that it will be possible next year to continue the excavation of the Bronze Age town now discovered at Enkomi and to see you so again. Until then I wish you good health and happiness.
I expect news from MM Dikaios and Coche about the closing week of the excavation. No telegramme arrived yet, so the 'treasure' seems to await our return next year.
I am in the 'forbidden' town for 48 hours on my way to Palestine for an inspection and hope not to been blown up by mines which it is now reason able to leave on the roads there.
Again with my best wishes and thanks
