deposit, called " Floor VI", we find an intentional filling placed to raise the internal level to that of the floors in the other part of the compound, which stands on the higher level of the rock.

On the floor which rests on the filling i.e. Floor V, we observed thorough rearrangements in the architectural layout following a conflagration the evidence of which will be described in the following section. Similar rearrangements occur on floor V of the Main Building where various partition walls were built.

Following these rearrangements the floors succeed each other normally until Floor II when a catastrophe is observed. This catastrophe is evidenced by a thick layer of decomposed plaé or mudbricks in some rooms, of mudbricks hardened by fire and ashes in others. The cause of the catastrophe was an earthquake the traces of which we shall have the opportunity of reviewing when considering the architectural remains.
