[illegible] On this floor, however, a number of stag's antlers, a bull's horn and animals' bones were found, not actually lying on the floor but mixed with the soil and showing signs of disturbance. Some of the animals' bones were parts of legs with articulations in position as if they had been buried in the soil at a time when the flesh still adhered to them. This shows that whatever the cause of the disturbance was, it occurred soon after the meat offering were placed in the room. The discovery of gold objects at a lower level in this room suggests that previously offerings were deposited here, possibly to the same god whose statue was found in the uppermost floor of the adjoining room X. It is therefore likely that the room was ransacked for treasures, causing the disturbance already noticed, while the cult was still in operation.
