3… c 2,50 m from the ground surface, a few large stones are found in this dark layer, which give the impression of belonging to a badly laid doorway packing. Next to one of these stones a bowl diam 11 cm (3) is found. The stones are left in place and the excavation is deepened. It then becomes clear that partly the stones are not followed by others deeper down, and partly that the darker earth ends roughly at the level of the lower stones (see profile drawing). After the stones have been removed, the upper edge of the actual door stone is seen, a huge slab, which still stands in situ. A part of it is however broken off so that one can get in. The tomb thus appears to have been plundered, and the conditions in the dromos can be interpreted as follows. The darker lighter earth in the dromos marks is the original dromos fill.
