Hellenistic and Roman sculpture

Description

A carved head in profile facing left, its hair arranged in rows of curls with a band of leaves wound over the crown. The face and neck are pale grey and slightly weathered, and the head sits on a fluted cylindrical support above a square plinth. A plain grey backdrop fills the background, and a small mark is cut into the neck.
