Hellenistic and Roman sculpture, Cesn. Coll.

Description

A carved stone head of a youth, turned slightly to the viewer's left, with deep-set almond eyes, a straight nose and a small mouth. The hair is arranged in rows of spiral curls over the forehead and in fuller locks at the sides, with a band of carved strands above. The head is broken off at the neck and sits on a black cylindrical stand with a number label, against a plain grey backdrop.
