Roman stone head on a block base, with a scale bar and a number label placed in front — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn3769. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A sculpted stone head with a broad face, deep-set eyes and a chipped, worn nose, its hair arranged in wavy bands across the forehead and pulled back at the sides. It rises from a short neck on a rectangular block base, with a scale bar and a small white number label placed in front. The plain grey backdrop keeps the head as the single focus of the frame.
