Roman Wares I-III

Description

A broken pottery sherd with a dark surface, a raised ridge running along its upper edge, and a pale, worn lower break. The fragment tapers to a point at the right and is shown mounted on pale grey card cut to its outline, with a handwritten note partly visible at the bottom edge. Pale patches of encrustation or surface loss are scattered over the dark surface, and a crack runs through the print.
