Ruined stone building on a low stone platform with the sea behind, North Africa — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, Csn1729. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A square, heavily broken stone structure stands on a low, flat stone platform, with a large dark opening in its centre and its top edge jagged. Behind it a flat expanse of sea meets the horizon, and in the foreground scrubby ground and scattered rubble lie in front of the platform. The print is mounted on a pale card with a narrow border.
