Description

A carved limestone head of a bearded male figure, with a tall cap whose surface is incised with a grid-like pattern and a knob at the top. The face has heavy-lidded eyes, a smiling mouth and a beard of tight curls, and the stone shows wear and small losses. The head sits on a dark cylindrical stand, with a scale bar and a printed museum label along the bottom edge of the photograph.
