Description

A carved limestone head shown in right profile against a black background. The hair is marked with close parallel grooves and bound by a broad band, with a row of curled locks above the brow. The beard is rendered in neat, ridged strands, the ear is modelled in relief, and the eye is a simple almond shape; the base of the head is broken off at the neck.
