Description

A carved limestone head of a bearded man faces the camera, with a smiling mouth, narrowed eyes and a wide headdress or hair band made of rows of rounded, scroll-like curls and overlapping leaf-like shapes. The beard is shown as tight horizontal rows of incised ridges, and the surface is pitted and weathered. The head is set against a plain black background with a shadow beneath it.
