Description

A carved limestone head of a bearded figure photographed frontally against a plain grey backdrop, standing on a dark block. A band of rounded beads runs across the forehead beneath a raised knot of hair, with almond-shaped eyes, a short nose with a chipped tip and a long beard with a scalloped edge. The pale surface is worn in places, and a number label is on the front of the stand.
