Limestone Proto-Cypriote

Description

A pale limestone sculpture of a head and upper shoulders, seen in side profile against a dark plain backdrop. The head wears a high, rounded cap with a band across the brow, a large carved ear, and a long beard marked with incised radiating lines. The surface is weathered, with small chips at the chin and along the cap, and the lower body is cut off by the bottom edge.
