Description

A pottery jug with a tall, narrow neck, a rounded body and a single strap handle rising from the rim to the shoulder. Dark painted bands encircle the neck, shoulder and lower body, with groups of thin parallel lines between the broader stripes. The pale surface shows mottling and wear, and the vessel stands alone against a plain grey backdrop.
