Large reconstructed pottery jar with a man in a paint-spattered coat standing beside it — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C08812. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A man in a long, paint-spattered coat stands at left beside a large reconstructed storage jar with a wide rim and raised bands around its middle. The pale, mended surface has darker areas where the original fabric shows, and a jagged hole in the side reveals a wooden board and fragments inside. A window and a plain floor form the setting behind them.
