Wall, staircase and tree in North Africa

Weathered plaster wall running up a slope, with a white building and trees behind, North Africa — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C08442. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A long wall of pale plaster, worn and flaking in patches, runs diagonally across the frame above a paved path. Behind it a hillside of dense trees and shrubs rises to a flat-roofed white building, with a palm tree at the upper right. A low white building with a flat roof is partly visible at the lower left.
