Limestone Proto-Cypriote fragment (K. 391)

Limestone statue fragment of an upper body with a carved bead necklace and one arm bent across the chest — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06344. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A limestone fragment of a statue's upper body, photographed head-on against a grey backdrop. A row of carved beads forms a necklace at the neck, and one arm bends across the chest towards it. Vertical drapery folds run down the torso, and the broken edges at the lower left and lower right show the rough stone surface.
