Description

A carved limestone head and upper shoulders, turned slightly to the viewer's left, with heavy-lidded eyes, a faint smile and a close-fitting cap-like head covering with vertical grooves. The ear shows below the covering, and a long lock of hair falls down behind the neck. The surface is rough and pitted with dark spots, and the head is set against a plain grey backdrop.
