Description

A carved marble head shown in left profile against a black background. The hair is worked in long wavy strands swept back from the forehead, and the top of the head is rough and unpolished. The face has a straight nose, full lips and a rounded chin, with small marks on the cheek, and the neck ends in a broken, irregular edge at the base.
