Scarab seal in stone, photographed on a grey background — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06021. Public domain (CC0).

Description

An oval scarab seal seen from its back, with a raised head section at the top and wing cases divided by a central groove. The pale stone surface is worn, with small dark chips or pits along the edges and in the lower half. The object fills most of the frame against a plain grey backdrop, and the print sits on a card with a narrow light border.
