Glyptic (A.I.2590)

Oval seal or gem with an incised design, shown as a print on a photo card with handwritten notes — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04477b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small oval seal or gem is shown as a grey photographic print with a pale blue-white painted border around its edge. Its surface carries dark, curved incised grooves over a speckled ground, though the design is hard to make out in this soft image. The card beneath holds handwritten numbers and a faint pencilled word.
