Terracotta Minor Plastic 3 (A.J.111)

Terracotta figurine of a standing figure with arms bent at the waist and a dark painted chevron pattern on the chest — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04433. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small terracotta figurine of a standing figure with a rounded head, a cap-like covering over the hair and a simple face. Its arms are bent with the hands held at the waist, and dark paint forms a chevron pattern across the chest and shoulders. The body widens to a flared base, and the pale grey surface shows worn patches; it is shown upright against a plain pale background.
