Glyptic (A.I.2617)

Engraved stone seal from Ayia Irini, photographed on a pale card mount — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04407. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small oval seal with rounded ends and a worn, uneven surface fills most of the frame. Its engraved design is only partly legible: a ring-shaped motif near the centre, several upright marks along the top and right, and a figure-like form to the right of centre. The seal is shown on a pale card mount with a narrow border.
