Limestone Neo-Cypriote

Description

A carved limestone head with a close-fitting cap marked by a cross-hatched pattern, wide eyes, a small mouth and ears partly visible at the sides. The head rests on a plain block base against a draped light backdrop. The stone surface is slightly rough and weathered, and the face and chin are largely intact.
