Glyptic

Description

An oval engraved seal or gem is shown enlarged in grey tones, with a raised rim around the edge. Inside, a small hooked motif sits near the top, a long tapering form slants across the centre, and three upright strokes run along the bottom, with curved marks at the sides. The photograph is mounted on a pale card, and its surface is cracked and partly lifted under a thin transparent film with bluish patches at the edges.
