Marble Sculpture

Description

A carved head in pale stone, shown in profile facing left, with a straight nose, lips and chin clearly visible. The hair is rendered in wavy bands swept back from the forehead and over the ear, and the head continues into a neck and part of a shoulder at the lower right. The surface has a mottled texture and some darker patches, and a thick white outline has been painted around the head against a black background.
