Glyptic (A.I.2293)

Small mottled stone object, blurred, shown on a grey mount; possibly a seal or gem from Ayia Irini — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04079j. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small, roughly rounded stone object is shown alone on a grey card mount. Its upper-left side is dark, and the rest of the surface is mottled with light and dark patches, with a flatter base and an irregular notch on the right. The photograph is blurred and low in contrast, so no engraved design can be clearly seen.
