Glyptic (A.I.2667)

Glyptic from Ayia Irini: an irregular stone object with deep carved grooves across its face — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04077b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small, roughly rounded stone object with a pitted, grey surface fills most of the frame. Curved, deeply cut grooves run across its face, and its outline is uneven. It is photographed on a pale grey card, which sits on a cream sheet with a handwritten number label below and a printed code in the lower right corner.
