Limestone Cypro-Greek II (C.2882. Fel!)

Broken limestone statue head with a row of rounded forms across the brow, photographed on wooden blocks — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C02898a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A broken limestone head fragment, seen at a three-quarter angle, with a smooth rounded top and a row of rounded, bead-like forms running across the brow. A rounded shape sits near the side of the face, and the rough, pitted surface looks worn. The fragment stands on two small wooden blocks against a plain grey backdrop.
