Head of a figure with large raised-rimmed eyes and a cap-like headdress, standing in blue modelling clay — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C02021. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A head seen from the front and slightly to the side, with a smooth face, large almond-shaped eyes with raised rims, a thin mouth and a broad cap-like top with a ridge across the forehead. The pale surface is worn at the edges, and the rounded lower part sits in a blob of blue modelling clay that holds it upright against a light backdrop.
